blah
A friend of mine just got laid off yesterday. After moving cross-country, their employment, due to no fault of their own, was terminated. Same thing happened to me last year. Sucks to know that no matter how good you are at what you do, you're ultimately expendable; that to capital, you're labour power is little more than a commodity to be bought, sold, and sometimes discarded on the marketplace. Is it any wonder that some people want to see a radical economic transformation in which the exploitation, alienation, and commodity fetishism of the present system are gradually eliminated via a more socialized mode of production?
